smileycynic@yahoo.com BioWhile being coached today and talking about all of the work I'm putting in to self actualization, I ended up back in Nihilism. Why the hell am I doing this?
Yes, I want to expand my emotional range, yes, I have a great metaphor for what that's like. But I haven't been there. I don't know that its actually any better.
So, why the hell am I doing this?
Because I'm bored is the answer I have right now that lands. I'm an adrenaline junky at heart. There is something out there that I don't understand. That's scary, which is exciting.
I've jumped off cliffs, out of an airplane, slid between rocks on a river with only a wetsuit and a helmet. I've defied social norms and experimented with drugs. I'm bipolar, that's very exciting!
I could go into more depth in areas such as schooling, pushing my physical limits, etc., but more depth in exploration isn't very exciting for very long.
I like this new frontier, where I really don't understand it. Where I am having more excitement pushing my limits, and developing capacity for more excitement as I go.
That, and I'm a big softie who wants to do good in the world.
