I just had my first birthday party since childhood. Even during childhood my birthday parties were not usually me focused, since I was born two days before xmas and my cousins were born 5 days before me, so we'd have combined multi-birthday/holiday parties.

I think I'm going to do this birthday thing more often in the future though. Its pretty fun to have a "my day" with an intimate gathering. I got to see frogpyjamas, nasu_dengaku, maerdi, sunyata__, beth_leonard, mr_minconbop, anahas, Patri, and Tovar and Inara, lots of fun talking, great Indian food, and a board game. It was a good night :)
