So it seems like the biggest of the breakthroughs I had was one which I alluded to a few times, getting a visualization for a new model of reality that I'm working toward.
Basically, my old model, perhaps an "Achiever" model, seemed to be like a big ball of interwoven pieces. My visualization for it would be something like a spherical 3d Tetris made of cloth, where the intersections are more like interlaced fingers.
Visualizations aside, the important aspects of this model:
Its rational: everything fits together
Its dynamic: new pieces can be fit in and out
Its logical: everything adds up
The model I'm moving toward is similar, but with important differences. And, the process of moving from one model to the next, has involved disassembling the first. The new model still has most of the pieces of the first model, but is larger.
In the new model, there is space outside the ball. And the ball is losing its spherical quality. The model includes space, not joined to the ball, where pieces that don't fit can exist, and coexist with multiple pieces that don't fit together.
Things still get joined when it makes sense, but there is space for uncertainty and paradox to exist without creating conflict.
In the Achiever model, things that don't fit create conflict, and pieces must be discarded if they cannot be joined. In this model, things can sit in space, indefinitely.
So, this particular breakthrough is one of a better understanding of a process that I'm in. The understanding has also felt like somewhat of a jump in the direction of the model I'm moving toward, but not an actualization of it. I feel like I've been moving more and more into that model over the past few months and will continue filling it out for awhile.
This is also all related to the personal development profile I took awhile back. I typed up my specific results, but not the categorical descriptions. I found the test useful, but it is expensive. If anyone's interested SCTi-MAP is the name of the test, here's the web site I'm not going to type any more up about it in case it would be giving away important details for those taking it, but I would love to chat with anyone else who takes it!
